Mean, median and mode are the three different types of central tendencies which is helped in the calculation of data. COMPARING FRACTIONS IS NOTHING BUT COMPARING TWO FRACTIONS IN CASE WHICH ONE IS THE GREATEST , SMALLEST AND IF THE FRACTIONS ARE EQUAL. IN ORDER TO COMPARE FRACTIONS, WE FIRST NEED TO SIMPLIFY FRACTIONS TO THE SIMPLEST FORM AND THEN COMPARE. BELOW IS GIVEN AN EXAMPLE IN THIS CONCEPT.

EXAMPLE 1: COMPARE 3/12 AND 2/8:
3/12 = 1/4 AND 2/8 = 1/4
THEREFORE, 3/12 = 2/8

EXAMPLE 2: COMPARE 2/4 AND 3/18:
2/4 = 1/2 AND 3/18 = 1/6
NOW, (2X3)/ 12 = 6/12 = 1/2AND (3X4)/ 12 = 12/ 12 = 1
=1/2 < 1
THEREFORE, 2/8 > 3/12
